Fold Launches Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card

Fold has recently announced that he will launch his Bitcoin Rewards credit card in collaboration with Visa.

The paper prizes will vary according to the fold subscription level. Fold+ members will earn 2% in Bitcoin prizes and up to $ 250 in bonuses that will be paid to affect specific activities, while folding members will earn 1.5% in prizes and up to $ 100 in bonus.

The card holders will get access to a suite of financial services through the Fold app, including the possibility of exchangeing bitcoins with zero commissions and taking advantage of the exclusive bonuses from the partner traders. The app also provides access to the transactional accounts ensured by FDICs and the assured Bitcoin custody.

Fold is bringing this new product to the market in large part due to the requests of current users.

“This was one of the most requested products,” said Bitcoin Magazine, Mitch Port, general manager for credit and loans in Fold. “Most users like to spend in credit and earn in bitcoin.”

Port has also observed that this new credit card is the most recent addition to the suite of products that already bend.

“A fold debit card currently makes you access an account from which you can pay the bills, the Fiat of the direct deposit or automatically convert the paychecks to Bitcoin,” he said. “The addition of a credit card is an excellent addition for users who prefer to spend on credit rather than from an existing balance.”

Fold currently has 600,000 users who earned around $ 75 million Bitcoin prizes (which would have been $ 20 million if the prizes were distributed in US dollars). With the combination of its current users’ base and this new credit card, Fold hopes to make Bitcoin the new standard for credit card prizes.

“Fold has already authorized hundreds of thousands of users to incorporate Bitcoin into their daily life,” said the founder and CEO of Fold Will Reeves in a press release shared with Bitcoin Magazine.

“With this credit card, we aim to dethrone miles as a credit card reward. If the best Miles cards can develop 1% of the United States GDP, we are confident that the Bitcoin Rewards credit card can reach the same heights, “he added.

“We are building the personal finance center, fed by Bitcoin, to guarantee all the tools to earn, save and grow their wealth with Bitcoin every day.”

Fold is issuing this new credit card while the company is preparing to list on Nasdaq as the first Bitcoin financial service company negotiated on the stock exchange. Fold also has a Top 25 Bitcoin Treasury among public companies, as it contains over 1,000 bitcoins in its reserves. His initiative in accumulating Bitcoin aligns with his mission to make Bitcoin the milestone for personal savings for millions of Americans.
