There is a lot of talk about Solana because a video in which the upcoming acceleration conference was commissioned in New York.
The advertisement that was broadcast on March 17 was quickly depressed because it was caused by problems with the identity of gender and triggered widespread criticism.
Ad criticizes because of insensitivity
The video showed a figure called “America”, which had undergone therapy. The character said he had thoughts about “innovation”.
The therapist recommended concentrating on pronouns or the development of new genders instead of pursuing technological innovations such as crypto during the session.
“America” replied with the desire to “invent technologies, not gender”.

Critics have described the commercial as “insulting” and “sound dust”, some of which describe it as disrespectful towards transgender and gender reductions.
They needed 9 hours to delete it.
Also all big players in the Solana ecosystem suddenly delete their tweets, who have liked the advertisement and the RT’D and that it is bad.
They approved this, supported it and celebrated it.
They rolled it back because it hurt … pic.twitter.com/kpmerdptcn

Corporate executives expressed their criticism. The former director of the Solana Foundation, David Mcintyre, argued that Adam Cochran from Cinneamhain Ventures described the advertising as “Justly Absurd”, but the platform should have given positive messaging top priority for the mockery of important social issues.
Sean O’Connor, operational chief of Web3 infrastructure company Blocknative, has not canceled words and unloaded an explicit message to X:
Hey @Solana – really?
At a time at which trans people are refused and deleted by the government, is this the advertisement you published?
This is so damned tone deaf https://t.co/p2hf5jib9c

Controversy raises doubts about Solana’s values
The controversy has led to inquiries about Solana’s ability to comply with its specified principles. Only weeks earlier, the Solana Foundation underlined the importance of diversity and inclusion at a conference in Singapore.

The code of conduct expressly protected the participants from harassment based on gender identity and expression. Observers are currently discussing whether the advertising is a strategic transition or an isolated gaffe through the organization.
Solana has not yet given an official explanation that explains the reason for removing the video. Critics claim that the decision to eliminate it indicates more reactive than indicating ethical reflection.
After some thinking, I deleted my first attitude to the Solana display today.
First I liked the ad because she met me a chord. I think that a whole generation of people was taught to concentrate more on zero -sum -suppressed -suppressed worldviews than on positive sums technology …

Industry leaders withdraw their support
Then certain initial supporters of the advertising withdrew their notes. Initially, Tushar Jain, co -founder of Multicoin Capital, praised the video as “brave”. However, he later extinguished his post and admitted that he alienated certain members of the community.
This incident underlines the increasing tensions in the crypto industry in terms of political news and cultural comments.
