For the first time in history, the Argentine Senate opened its doors to discuss Bitcoin, thanks to the efforts of the Argentine Bitcoin NGO. The conference, entitled “Bitcoin and Its Regulatory Framework”, was held this week in the Arturo Illilia room of the Legislative Palace.
Organized by the Argentina Bitcoin NGO, the event brought together the main political consultants and the Department of various political blocks to explore the potential impact of Bitcoin on the Argentine economy and the regulatory landscape. Gabriela Battiato, lawyer and legal coordinator of the Argentina Bitcoin NGO, conducted an in -depth discussion on philosophy, evolution and ongoing global regulatory debates that surrounded his adoption.
“This is a fundamental step for the legislative recognition of the cryptographic ecosystem. Technology and cryptocurrencies Blockchain are already part of the economic reality, and it is essential that the strategic decision makers have clear and accurate information,” said Ricardo Mihura, president of the Argentine NGO Bitcoin.
The conference was led by Senator Antonio José Rodas, with the participation of the Senator Mariana Juri of Mendoza, and showed the growing bipartisan interest in the understanding and integration of Bitcoin in the legal framework of Argentina. Their discussion on Bitcoin focused on its transformative potential and its growing role in global finance.
“This event establishes a precedent and strengthens our goal of bringing knowledge to Bitcoin and Blockchain to all sectors of the company. We will continue to promote these spaces because you believe that only through dialogue and education can we build adequate regulations and promote the development of the sector”, said Jimena Vallone, executive director of the Argentine Bitcoin NGO.
