While at Mit Bitcoin Expo last month I was able to sit with the Bitcoin Sjors Provoost developer.
Sjars is a physicist who has become Bitcoin developer, who believes it or not is actually a rather common phenomenon. He began to contribute to Bitcoin Core in 2017, a very turbulent time during which the activation of segregated witnesses took place in the climax of the blocks of the blockage with the user activated the Softfort and the New York agreement.
It is also the co-conductor of Bitcoin, explainedA podcast made with Aaron Van Wirdum, the current editor of Bitcoin magazine. More recently he also wrote the book Bitcoin: a job in progressexplaining technical aspects of Bitcoin. Each chapter mates with an episode of the podcast.
We talked about the Bitcoin Core project itself. As organized, how it is to work and some of the challenges that may appear for those who make the leap to contribute directly to the core of Bitcoin itself.
