By leveraging the powerful capabilities of Aragon OSx, our standard governance framework, we are creating a governance solution that is as dynamic and innovative as the Polygon landscape itself.
Our role in building the Polygon Governance Center
The Governance Hub is intended to be a home for community-based decision making for the aggregated Polygon blockchain network, as well as other network architecture. Our modular governance framework, Aragon OSx, and custom development services bring this vision to life.
By leveraging the security of our smart contract framework, the flexibility of our custom development solutions, and our human-centered design system, the Governance Center will facilitate a unified and seamless experience, engaging the entire community in a multi-stage governance process.
Why Aragon OSx?
Aragon OSx, the next-generation modular governance framework, is optimized for customization and adaptability. Its plug-in-based architecture allows for secure and efficient customization of governance contracts, making it ideal for complex governance structures. Here’s how Aragon OSx supports Polygon’s custom management solution:
- protection: Governance contracts protect the protocol by managing detailed permissions and custom operations.
- Stereotype: Our framework supports a wide range of management models through customizable and interchangeable plugins, enabling multi-agency and multi-stage management.
- Adaptability: Plugins can be securely installed throughout the administration process, ensuring that the administration center can evolve as the community grows.
Features of the Polygon Governance Center
A custom UI template and open administration design system consolidates every stage of Polygon administration into one easy-to-use interface. Human-centered design ensures that all community members, regardless of technical expertise, can participate in the governance process. This unified platform will include:
- Dashboard: A unified overview where members can find the latest updates from each Governance Center section in one place.
- Members and delegates: A guide for community members and delegates, promoting transparency and accountability.
- Multi-stage proposals: A unified interface for tracking and discussing proposals across multiple stages, from initial discussions to on-chain implementation:
- Recommendations are initiated and discussed in GitHub, as well as the forum, and are displayed directly on the Recommendations page.
- When the discussion closes, an onchain proposal is generated by the protocol board.
- After that, it is automatically populated for the community to express their approval or disagreement.
- Once the community is heard, the Security Council implements the deal.
- resources: A library of governance-related resources to educate and inform the community, including the proposal creation process, and Protocol Council contracts.
