Gate builds its level 2 with stack op
Gate is entering the Layer 2 match with a new goal called Gate Layer. It is under construction using the OP stack, the same open source technology used by Coinbase and Kraken. Instead of fixing the transactions on Ethereum as most L2, Gate will establish themselves on their chain, Gatechain. And instead of ETH for gas expenses, users will pay in GT, the native token of the exchange.
Which layer of gate should do
This new configuration is meant To make things faster e cheaper. Moving the activity from the main chain and managing it Gate Before level, the network should be able to reduce traffic and also reduce commissions.
Gate officially launches its high-performance level 2 network, Gate Layer-Con "All on web3" Conduct a complete update of the GT ecosystem!

Once everything elaborates, the final results will be blocked on Gatechain. The idea is to maintain fluid things for users while maintaining a safe e clear record of what happened.
How the system is structured
Gate Layer will make the heavy lifting when it comes to processing. Gatechain will manage the final confirmations. This two -layer configuration divides the work between speed and stability. It’s a bit like doing the fast parts on one lane and the careful checks on another. This approach is becoming more common, but Gate is doing his own ride on it while maintaining everything internally.

Because Gate chose op stack
The stack op is becoming popular. It is the same basis that feeds optimism and other new level 2 projects. It is open source, easy to adapt and already tested in battle. Using it, Gate avoids starting from scratch and can focus more on the characteristics of the construction around it. Since Coinbase and Kraken have traveled the same path, Gate is clearly bet that this technology has a power of resistance.
Why now?
Gate Move in a larger trend. Exchanges want greater control over how users move money around. Instead of relying on third -party networks, they are starting to build their own. With more users who require faster transactions and lower commissions, owning the infrastructure becomes a way to remain competitive. Gate joins that race with a network that can modify and control from top to bottom.

What could be hindered
Building a level 2 is one thing. Making them use people is another. Gate needs developers to create apps on it, users to trust and liquidity to flow. It must also maintain the bridge between Gate Layer e Gatechain Safe. Errors in one of these areas could cause big Problems, especially if the activities remain blocked or funds are at risk.
What to keep an eye on
The next few weeks should give a clearer picture of how serious it is. I wait For updates on when the network becomes live and which app jump inside Soon. Also Pay attention to how Gate manages the token gt. Incentives, prizes and pools of liquidity will all play a role. If Gate is good, it could become one of the few exchanges that perform a full-stack cryptocurrency platform with your level 2. Otherwise, it could be a quiet launch that never takes off.
