My first bitcoin, a non -profit focus on basic bitcoin education, has just announced that they are receiving a $ 1 million dollar grant from Start Small. This financing will help to resize efforts to provide a free Bitcoin Open Source education for the world.
“The Bitcoin education revolution is that he teaches students how to think, not what to think,” said the founder and executive director of my first Bitcoin John Dennehy. “Financing from sources with one’s incentives is the greatest vulnerability that threatens that. Education will be captured by anyone who finances it. We will never take the government’s money and often refuse funding from companies and companies. The subtle influence of funding has ruined Fiat education and we must create alternative models for the Bitcoin education revolution to achieve its full potential.”
This subsidy offers my first bitcoin the opportunity to expand its scope and improve tools such as Bitcoin diploma, the introductory course and teacher training seminars. They also strengthen their center of school and online community, making Bitcoin education more accessible to people around the world.
This loan is not just a milestone, it is a declaration. As Dennehy added, “my first bitcoin is a concept test for all independent bitcoin educators who if you stay on a mission, even when it is challenging, then you will come out even stronger.”
My first bitcoin began in 2021 as a small local project. Since then, it has grown in a global movement. Over the years, the team has taught tens of thousands of students in person, test and refinement of materials based on the real world feedback.
In 2022, my first Bitcoin assigned Bitcoin diplomas to 38 high school students in El Salvador. As part of the program, the students held 10 lessons that included the introduction to monetary systems, the consequences of Fiat, the monetary history, the understanding of Bitcoin, the wallets and the Bitcoin network, the problem and the double -expense, the safety and mining knots, the value of Bitcoin, the Lightning network and the future of Bitcoin and the final project.
In 2023, the organization launched the independent Note Node Bitcoin Network, now with over 65 projects in over 35 countries. These include circular economies, groups of meetings and other local bitcoin projects. What unites them is their shared commitment for six fundamental values: “that their education is independent, impartial, led by the community, only in Bitcoin, quality and focused on the Empowerment and profit”.
“Open source money deserves an open source education. In recent years, we have seen a growing demand for our resources all over the world and we are committed to serving all in the bitcoin space that need support,” said the director of communications to my first Bitcoin Arnold Hudach.
