Gaming Studio Mythical Games is partnering with Human-Verification Network World (formerly WorldCoin). Together, they aim to usher in a new era of “human-centric” gaming by integrating large player ecosystems with on-chain identity and infrastructure.
What’s on the table?
The conglomerate—known for titles like NFL Rivals, FIFA Rivals and Pudgy Party—will incorporate the world’s digital identity layer, known as World ID, to deliver stronger human-authentication verification in its games, asset markets and token ecosystem. The studio brings a millions-strong player base, emerging digital asset markets, and the native token (mythology) into the fold.
On the infrastructure front, the collaboration includes the launch of a new blockchain: Mythos chain, billed as the first Layer 3 chain built on top of the world’s L2 solution, the world’s chain. The build-out combines Ethereum’s security with a human blockspace model, designed to reduce bot congestion and emphasize real human players.
Key features include:
- Real-player sign-on and onboarding via World ID to reduce bots, smurfs and unfair asset flows.
- Fair matchmaking, leaderboard integrity and in-game reward distribution tied to verified human accounts.
- Priority blockspace on the world chain (and then the Mythos chain) for real people, to offset bot traffic and inflated gas costs.
- A path for Mythical’s game assets and market to run on a human blockchain stack.

Why is this important?
Bots, fake players and automated accounts have been around for a long time in online gaming. A recent study found bot traffic in games to reach 147 billion requests a month by early 2024—more than six times last year’s levels. The result: unfair matchmaking, skewed economies and frustrated players.
By introducing identity-verification and human-first infrastructure, mythology and world aim to reset the dynamic.
Correspondingly, blockchain gaming has grown beyond gimmicks into structured ecosystems.
