US DoJ Moves to Seize $7.7M Linked to North Korean Crypto Laundering Case

Recently, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a complaint in a District Court of the United States in Columbia to renounce over $ 7.74 million in cryptocurrencies linked to the recycling activities of North Korea.

In a press release published on June 5, 2025, the Doj highlighted a wider system in which the North Korean workers have obtained illegal use in the United States or in other international companies by providing fraudulent identification documents.

According to the complaint filed by the Doj, the North Korean workers hid their position. They educated the security protocols followed by various companies using identification documents obtained illegally.
