A new era of cryptocurrency regulations is to be presented as Commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that the agency would switch in the opposite direction of its strict surveillance guidelines.
The SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said that the regulatory authority under the Trump administration would pursue a pro-crypto approach for digital assets, a shift in the previous enforcement measures against cryptocurrency players.
More structured guidelines
In a Bloomberg Crypto TV interview, Peirce said that the regulatory authority would withdraw from a assertive approach to monitoring the country’s cryptocurrency sector, and added that the agency’s focus is now on determining clear guidelines for crypto token.

In a statement, the SEC commissioner admitted that the state supervisory authority had previously relied on the enforcement measures in order to regulate the industry of digital assets and found that the approach was held by the SEC’s guideline function.
She noticed that under Trump’s leadership aimed at taking a more structured framework for cryptor regulation as assertiveness.
“Enforcement cases have been used in recent years to meet the regulatory directive. That is very atypical. We try to return to a way in which we really use our other tools to meet guidelines, ”said Peirce.
No more crypto clan?
Peirce confirmed that the government ended its so -called war against cryptocurrencies.
“We used enforcement cases to determine the regulatory guidelines. We try to move from it, so we actually use guidelines and then bring enforcement cases as required, ”said the SEC commissioner in an interview.
She said that the SEC has an ongoing review that the state agency is responsible for and identified the regulatory gaps that the US Congress should enter.

“We are working to look at our responsibility that we currently have and to say what is in this jurisdiction and what is outside of this jurisdiction, then we can point out the congress,” she said.
Krypto -Ask Force
According to reports, Peirce would lead a crypto -act force under the administration of the seconds, and added that the issue of the Task Force would be a clear regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies.
According to analysts, the SEC -Ask Force will evaluate which cryptocurrencies should be classified as securities and assess the responsibility of the agency at the market for digital assets.
Previously, US President Donald Trump had an executive regulation that will set up a consulting committee for cryptocurrency regulations. Trump is also considering creating a national crypto stock.
Peirce is a well-known supporter of Bitcoin Exchange Fund (ETFs) and against the enforcement measures of the SEC against digital asset companies.
